If you are into a little more snark and a little less rainbows and teddy bears, you may find the world of snarky cross stitching right up your ally.
While there are many more out there, I have put together a list of my 17 favourites from around the globe that I follow personally and have purchased from in the past.
Heads Up! This site contains affiliate links to products. We may receive a commission for purchases made through these links. Don’t worry, you won’t pay any extra, you’ll just be helping fund my stitching habit.
Subversive Cross Stitch
The OG of snarky cross stitch, Subversive Cross Stitch, Julie Jackson started creating snarky and subversive cross stitches way back in 2003 and is still going strong.
There are tonnes of patterns on the website as well as a few freebies sprinkled throughout.
Subversive Cross Stitch has been an inspiration for many cross stitch designers (including yours truly) around the world who want to create more than just teddies and Victorian samplers (not that there is anything wrong with that of course!)

Fun, modern, sassy and snarky cross stitches are the name of the game over at Curious Twist.
Though I will be honest and literally cringed when I saw the one that said “moist” (who else does this too?). However, the “You’re not a mermaid, you’re a twat” one made me laugh out loud.

Solvem Probler Stitches
Another new find, Solvem Probler Stitches is a wee gem of a shop. My personal fave is the stitch that reads, “You have a smile that could light up a whole psych ward”. Also the, “Some people are like a bag of used nappies… self-absorbed and full of shit”

Snarky Crafter not only has snarky cross stitch patterns (well, let’s be honest, it would be weird if there wasn’t given that this is a snarky cross stitch pattern designer list), there are also loads of needle minders for sale.
What’s a needle minder I hear you ask? It is kind of like a babysitter for your needle so you don’t end up sitting on it when you leave it in the couch again.
